Programmes for Kids

School Holiday Programme

Come into the Tokoroa, Putaruru or Tirau libraries over the school holidays and join in on a 'Trek'.  Choose a book from the junior fiction collection.  Take it home to read.  Then come into your town library and tell us about it.  You will have to read six books to reach the end of your journey.

Can you do it?????

Summer Reading Programme

The ‘Kiwanis Summer Reading Programme’ is free of charge but booking is required in November.

Children are required to read books over the summer holidays; each book read and reported to the librarian will gain them a reward.

Once they have gained 4 rewards they will receive an invitation to the finale party where they will receive a book, certificate and a medallion.

This programme is a fun way to keep children reading over the long summer holidays.
